I was downright p#%$@ off when I saw that the rumours of this unknown Conca had been well founded. The fact that, not only did we miss out on Polec, but also overlooked Heppell had me shaking my head. Then I read that we had wanted this kid from the start and had been secreting him away from the rest of the footy world to ensure we got him. Next I saw the highlight package that the club had assembled on him.

Now I've done a full 360 degrees. What an absolute gun this kid looks. All the Griffins comparisons don't do him justice. The way he gives and gets, breaks packs, scoops up the ball, makes clever decisions under pressure, lays tackles and cleanly desposes of the ball reminds me of a young Benny Cousins. I'm amazed that the other clubs before us in the draft didn't take him because he has a better highlight package than all of them.

He's even played and performed well at senior footy. Doesn't look like he has 'X-factor' but he stands out like dogs testies with his skills and awareness. His leadership skills will be fantastic for the future club culture too.

To make matters even better, now I hear that the Bombers were also keeping their interest in him quiet and were downright annoyed when we took him two spots before they had a chance.

I very excited about this kid  :gotigers

I agree with Stripes. I can see the comparison with Cuz but based on the highlight reel, I think Reece has a bit more legs speed and is probably a better kick. But he definitely has Cuz's poise under pressure and always seems to hit players in good attacking position which was Cuz's trademark.
I can see a truckload of goal assists coming from this kid! I can also see why the club had him penciled in so early and I actual fact I would have probably taken him over everyone except Swallow.
