How is the sign up rate going through the Australian Power & Gas offer ? Great option you would think, very creative.

Australian Power and Gas have been a terrific supporter of our club, they are really keen to add value to our members and I would encourage our members to look long and hard at their offer. It's important to support those who support us.

Just saw that we have 6,130 new members, seems like the operation 10,000 is going along nicely.

Operation 10,000 has been kicking big goals, it was an extremely innovative campaign by our membership department which harnasses the collective strength of our best asset and sales force - our existing members. Im amazed at the lengths people have gone to to recruit other prospects/members. I actually think with a bit of luck we will get there.

Is there a reason that Deledio has been left out of tonight's match? Given he didn't play last week, I thought he'd have to come in. Is he injured?

The plan has always been that we will have our best team play in the last two weeks prior to Round 1. I expect that Brett will play next week.

I rate the current list very highly and think this year we will shock a lot of people with how hard we play. Do you agree?

We have a young emerging list, with time we have the makings of a formidible midfield. We need to create more options up forward and stiffen up our defence. We need to further improve many players on our list and add to it intelligently when the opportunity arises. We are on the right trajectory, but still plenty of work to do.

Benny, great work in getting a better experience for the members. The membership dept and Tiger Den staff have been the most helpful I have ever experienced. What other changes can we expect ?

We have brought the members to the centre of our organisation. We don't just exist for our members, we exist because of our members. We have tried to raise the bar in the manner and frequency of our communications with our members and with our levels of customer service. We have got a smart, young and professional team.

That's it guys. Thanks for participating in the chat today, and we hope you enjoyed it! Tonight's game will be live streamed on radio, but check richmondfc.com.au for the live chat as well. Go Tiges!

My question got up and I'm fairly ok with the response.  At least he put forward a reason - the GFTG was grossly undervalued - and we still have first option so to that point I will accept it.  Probably end up forking out that little bit more and going down the Interstate/Country Social Club path.

first class performer is Benny.  :bow h
he could probably explain to you why it's still important to keep 11 game membership and social club membership and $5000 to the FTF.
The club that keeps giving.

We pay for their incompetence  :banghead
Sorry if I don't buy that explanation - it was pure and simply a money grab at the supporters' expense!

Yep, thats fair enough FNM and to some extent I do agree.  What I was happy with was that at least an excuse was forthcoming without lacing it (seemingly to me anyway) with a liberal dose of spin.  In the club's defence there were probably very few similar packages around to base the original costing on and it only became obvious when Collingwood became flag contenders as to how much supporters would be prepare to pay for the opportunity.  And to include it as part of a Social Club membership does add to the value, even though we must pay more for it.  I sensed a bit of 'damned if we do, damned if we don't' in his response and in these days of debt demolition then the thinking can be understood, if not totally agreed with.  I'll probably end up calling the club on Monday and trying to get my membership changed to the Country/Interstate Social Member because the guarantee is very important to me.  Of course, now we are also being asked to trust that the conditions/cost won't unfairly change in the near future - that's maybe going to take a little bit longer to win back.

We can keep paying peanuts and let clubs like Collingwood and Essendon walk all over us or we can put in some extra money and make our club strong.

I paid the gfg since it's inception but thought the social club isn't such a bad deal.

You can pay it off too if you are a bit skint.
