Just on the leadership thing

I actually watched a bit of the replay last night and noticed while the Captain was giving his pre-game in the huddle address Newy was standing on the outer of the huddle and not looking at the Captain, he was looking down the ground. Obviously, it caught my eye and my initial thought was "not a good look" especailly from a previous captain/leader

Been a fan of Newie for a long time but his decline is noticeable. Will do well to be in the best 22 by years end..

I am not sure he is in the best 22 right now. Not 100% sure he was last year. He is getting games on reputation at the moment. I hope he turns it around. As I have said, a tap on the shoulder can sometimes be hard to accept. Most reach that stage

Play him off a half forward flank or in a forward pocket as a last resort where his experience guile ability to take a mark and his neat foot skills can be used to maximum effect.

If that does not work then tap on the shoulder and off to Coburg.

i love getting a tap on the shoulder, but it doesn't happen often enough.

Once I got a tap on the shoulder from this real cute blonde while i was sleeping.......
but it was on a red eye flight and she just wanted to get past me to go to the toilet

yep agree with this. been a fan as well. have long advocated he go into the midfield but i reckon the writings on the wall. hes been in decline for a few yrs now.
no impact is an apt way of putting it. not getting a lot of ball not doing a lot defensively and not giving a lot of run imo
we complain about our tackle count i reckon you could count on one hand the number of tackles newman has laid.
imo the real issue is his pace which isnt getting any better each yr.

Disgrace that this guy is getting gifted games.

He is the most pathetic and useless player in our starting 22. Jackson is streets ahead of him as at least he occasionally tags out a player like Fyfe last week.

Hardwick stop trying to save your job and dump this spud back to Coburg for good.

WGAF. He only shows aggression because he doesn't have anything left. Took him 200  games to show something and even that was pathetic. If your going to do it, do it properly.

Said it 2 years ago he is finished.
