Did a couple of decent things again today but once again was largely a non event for most of the game.
McDonough has gone past him.

Calf injuries for 30+ year olds are 'old man' injuries. Newy has been a loyal servant to the Club and was a good and underrated footballer in his prime but sadly this injury may be the one that ends his footy career here and now. You'd expect he was going to retire at the end of the season anyway.

If hes got a 4 to 6 week injury he should retire from now and let the club move on and develop a younger player.

Should now retire from senior footy but play reserves for the remainder of this year and next and help the kids. Hardly think this will happen. Can see us given how we played today winning about 4 by the time he comes back and then being rushed back into the side to the team's detriment.

If you took him to a veterinarian. they'd put him down.

They wouldn't even bother with, "Just take him home and give him all the love you have"
Caracella and Balmey.

Veteran Chris Newman tore his calf late in the game and is likely to be sidelined for at least a month.

Sad to say that this is actually good for the side. Newman has been a great servant to the club but offers little leadership or quality to the team, basically has been keeping a kid out of the side.

Sorry Newman but you were too gutless to call time on your career now the man upstairs has done it for you.

Your injury whilst not the best way to go out is the best thing to happen to our club.

Time to unleash another player like Astbury.

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.
