Hayes / glass

Do what is best for respective clubs

King / newy

Stuff it I think I'll keep going

Ironic given that these two blokes apparently had a bit to do with the departure of Terry Wallace when he lost the playing group's faith.

That they should do something so extraordinary/odd, for the betterment of the club, and then decide they want to keep pushing on when they're clearing done and need to be replaced by kids is ridiculous.

Guess the club?

A clue, it's not Richmond

The one that's currently fifth, could still finish top 4, was leading the comp for most of the year and went a week deeper into the finals than us last year?

Chris Newman - 250th game this week (RFC)
« Reply #714 on: August 25, 2014, 02:18:34 PM »
Newy's 250th next Saturday  :clapping

-----------------------------------------------------------------

Chris Newman’s substitution in Sunday’s win against St Kilda was a precautionary move, according to Richmond coach Damien Hardwick.

Newman was the leading possession-winner on the ground with 21 (and a team-high five tackles), when he was handed the red vest during the third quarter of the Tigers’ 26-point win over the Saints.

However, the veteran defender is expected to lace up the boots for his 250th career match against the Sydney Swans this Saturday.

“He was just a little bit sore.  It was probably like a couple of guys, we just left them on the bench toward the end there,” Hardwick said after the game.

Nice way to go out, well done Chris.

Most important game of the year, no place for sentiment

It cost us last year when he wasn't right to play. Can't afford the same mistake this time.

And I reckon his 20 odd touches on the weekend are mighty misleading

Kicks one OTF per game, still doesn't win much of his own ball, cheap possessions usually in space and still manages to miss targets.
