David King just now on 3aw reckons we'll be 0-4 and we could lose by 15 goals to Carlton  ::)

We play at the 'G:
Carlton
St Kilda
Collingwood
Hawthorn

David King is a knob and his prediction of us losing by 15 goals will be taken with a grain of salt.

given the outs from carltons backline i think our chances are not as bad as some think. It still would be a (very pleasant) surprise if we win.

St kilda - good chance of an upset.
colonwoood - two chances - buckleys and none
whorethorn - not totally out of the question.

a really poor showing thursday i would reassess the others  though

1-3 Can see us beating the Dawks

If things go really well 2-2 (Blues & Dawks)

And I have just started on a really nice drop of Tokay after my 4th glass or so we'll be 3-1 (Blues, Saints & Dawks)

 :cheers

1-3 possibility.

0-4 most probable

Best chance of a win is Carlton.

St Kilda maybe. They might be primed for Geelong on Friday night, one part of their rivalry with them and two and more importantly for them just to put their off field dramas behind them and let their footy do the talking. Round two might be an emotional let down for them. If we are good enough we may ca$h in.

Hawthorn 1% chance. Been really impressed by their pre season and I expect they will be a top 4 side this year. We'll struggle. Lets not get seduced by our 3 point loss in round 8 last year.

Collingwood. If they have the yips on the most grand scale and we restrict them to 4 24 48 whilst we go bezerk and kick 7 7 49. Otherwise our score remains and the pies will win by 10 goals.  Yet somehow whilst writing this I get seduced by Friday night wins we've had over them in the past and give us more chance than we have against Hawthorn.

As long as we see a win in the first 4 I am happy.

With North and Etihad, Brisbane at the G and Freo at Etihad a win in the first four rounds may give us a realistic chance to sit at 4-3 after 7. :thumbsup

Agree but well be 8 1 not 7 7

Dont't believe we can beat Collingwood or Hawthorn. Would love to be proven wrong. St. Kilda have had the wood on us. Would love to break the drought but I don't believe we will. Best chance of a win in the first 4 rounds is against Carlton.

Here is my take on the opening four rounds.....

Rd 1 Carlton. After the nightmares of 09/10 I would settle for an ultra competitive performance.Victory would be so sweet but facts are facts. The Blues are comming off back to back finals series while we have finished 15th two years in a row. They beat us by a combined 140 points  in our two encounters last year.
Last time we played them we played a slow, indirect, indecisive and stagnant brand of football and coped a humiliating 90 pt loss.I pray  :pray on Thursday night we can "attack" the game more.I dont mind if we go down as long as we go down swinging.

Rd 2 St Kilda. All I can say is that this ridiculous winning streak which stretches back to 2003 has to end sooner or later.Imagine going 10 years without beating a team....surely that can't happen. :help

Rd 3 Collingwood.Hate to say it but if Collingwood "come to play" they will blow us of the park.Lets hope they are in cruise mode so our percentage doesn't take a hammering.

Rd 4 Hawthorn. The pressure will be on the "flat track bullies" of the competition.

1 win from the opening month would be a terific result.

I would also like to say David King is a baboons bottom.

Does he or it get scratched and picked at by other baboons, and if so who? :help
