Win in the step of development of the players and team. But gutted about the draw. Pretty lucky saint's didnt kick something at that last throw in I thought from watching the reply of it from behind the goals.

So appart from Riewoldt being injured and McGuane being reported is there anyone else we need to worry about for next week???

Gee our backline will be depleted now...hell don't we play the Pies...

Gees devistated about the result but am ridiculously proud of the boys expecially after last weeks final quater fade. Games like this and the Sydney one last year give me great faith that this team really plays for each other. Obviously there were skill errors but no ones commitment to going the footy can be questioned tonight. Just wanted to make mention of a few players.

Connors- Thought he was really solid tonight need more games like this from him where he sticks to what he does best in run and kick long.

Graham- Thought his game last week was horrendous and was very dissapointed with his spoiling attempt just b4 3/4 time. However, some of his body work in the last half was tremendous and he was a force in the ruck in the last quater he may not be our ruckman for the future but tonight he played like a man.

Grigg- Younger and Faster Tucky. Won't hold that miss in the last against was fantastic all night think we got a great pick u here.

Newman- Continues to prove why he is one of the best captains in the league no one puts his body on the line more for their club.

Deledio- Think some on here who jumped on lids last week labelling him selfish should think a little more b4 they comment. For me was clearly best on ground tonight absolutely towelled up goddard love seeing him through the midfield and pushing forward.

Loved seeing the lesser Riewoldt's face tonight every time things went against constantly looks like he is going to cry.

A win would've been significant but a draw is a pretty good consolation. We will beat the saints the next time we play them, in the words of grant Thomas "we are better than st Kilda". Griggs has shown what a huge engine he has and will replace tucky as a mid. Dusty showed that last year was no fluke and Gus showed a fair bit if ticker tonight. 14 goals without jack was the highlight.

What did everyone think regarding the intentional rushed behind by McGuane? The following is taken from the AFL laws of the game:

15.7.1 W hen Awarded
A Free Kick shall be awarded against a Player from the defending Team
who intentionally Kicks, Handballs or forces the football over the attacking
Team’s Goal Line or Behind Line or onto one of the attacking Team’s Goal
Posts. In assessing whether a Free Kick should be awarded under this
Law, the field Umpire shall give the benefit of the doubt to the Defender.

When McGuane was tackled he was facing between the boundary and the goal, where else if attempting to release the ball legally could he have gone? Therefore by the rules above surely he should receive the benefit of the doubt.

The last time we beat St Kilda was at Etihad and Grant Thomas said publicly after the game "the better team out there did not win".  Well, the worm turned tonight - the better team was raped by the umpires to the benefit of the rapist team.  Geez I'm dirty on those useless smartie-coloured pieces of dog vomit that go by the title of umpires.   >:(

Thought it was very harsh against McGuane and expecting an apology from the AFL through the week.
