Summary

* Hartford mentioned our 3rd quarters being strong and last quarters being poor. Jacko replied that the main problem out of all the quarters is the first quarters as you then spend the rest of the game chasing the proverbial.

* Winning the contested footy is the name of the game nowdays. As shown on Friday night, when we win the contested footy we play well and win the quarter; lose the contested footy and we struggle and lose the quarter.

* Go through our own individual review and then as a line group with the line coach (midfield structures). Lade is the midfield coach. And then another review as a whole team (structure, patterns, gamestyle, offensive/defensive spread, etc). Seen the kids definitely improve from all the feedback and trying to rectify it on the training track.

* Discussed his article in the paper today (see other thread). Jacko has issue with changes being brought in first without asking the players and then the outcome of the rule change studied instead of more thorough studies being done first before any new rule change (specifically about the sub rule and changes to the bench).

* Discussed Lethal's article about Jack and TFFS (see Jack Riewoldt thread). Jacko said the cameras focus on full forwards. They don't see the mids spit the dummy, chuck their mouthguards and argue with the umps. Jacko admitted he's done it.  Richo cured his TFFS towards the end of his career.

* Media relationship with players - you do build up relationships with certain journos and learn which ones stitch you up or misquote what you said but he didn't see it as a big problem. Jacko had more issue with those in the media who step over the line and look through a player's window as they did with Cuz or a couple of instances with Wallace (I don't remember him saying any specific example).

* Hartford brought Jacko's twitter and some of the questions Jacko puts out there such as "can you eat cereal anytime of the day" which Jacko said went crazy with replies.
