Anyone no much about Gawn?
He's behind Jamar and Martin (who has improved markedly). We could offer him some good money and the number one ruck spot.
Is nice and young and might not be too expensive.

I agree. Would be a nice inclusion but I feel we would need to recruit an additional ruckman of age reagrdless. Gawn is as much of a developing talent as any 19 year old ruckman and would be behind Vickery in strength and experience for quite some time meaning we would lose the luxury of playing Vickery forward.

Not sure why we'd go after Gawn. Totally undeveloped 19 yr old. We can draft one of them in the next draft if we want. One who isn't coming off a full knee reco.
We need a big , developed , experienced ruckman ,  preferrably one who can take a grab , to slot straight in and impact games.

A couple of years ago you'd take McIntosh but he'll be 27 next year and he's now injury prone. Definitely pass if North want a high draft pick.

We're just being linked to everyone because the Club has said we'll be big players during trade week. So it's unlikely to happen but I'd take Carlisle over Trengove.

Lade said, jokingly, last night that the entire competition knows that Richmond is looking for trades for a ready made ruck, outside running mid, tall defender and small forward.  He said the truth might be that you trade for one, maybe two, but there is no chance that you'll be able to get the lot.

Then he joked about how much TV's ruck play had improved - given that he trained as a forward all pre-season with no ruck practice.
