A first rounder for Zac would be the starting point of any discussions if and when they occur. It is a compromised and supposedly below par draft. They will not let him go for anything less, that's if they even consider it. Why would they, he is signed for 3 years.

As for a priority pick AS WELL, no way, no deal, it won't happen. If we win on Sunday, that PP will be worth more than the first round pick!

3 way deal seems a natural progression of this....

M Clark to Freo
Z Clark to Richmond
Richmond pick 18 (after our north win) OR second round + Foley to Brisbane.

If the Tiges can talk Z Clarke into wanting to become a tiger (like they did with Houli and Grigg), by promising 22 games next year, he gets to return home, then I am sure we can get him a little cheaper then a first round. Personally I think our second pick would be sufficient in the trade anyway. He is not their #1 and they prefer Griffin over him so our 2nd rounder in a straight swap is what I would offer.

Two things.

1) I would have thought Z Clarke has shown just as much as Griffin. So it might cost us more than we think. But in any event, Sandilands and M Clarke would be their starting rucks, so I guess theyd be keen to offload 1 of the 2.

2) Our first pick in the draft will be around the 14-18 mark, depending on the result on Friday. Keep in mind its a very watered down draft too, so a pick 18 this year is akin to a pick 30 or more in an uncompromised draft. So a first rounder isnt as good as what we think it is. I'd rather hang on to it too but I'd definately deal it for Z Clarke.

Like i said earlier he is contracted for 2 years and is best 22 and will be best 22 next year. Mitch Clark will be a FF not a ruck there. They aint letting him go. And again i said thats the sort of thing they will be asking. Not what we should be paying or offering. Its massive overs but Freo can ask for what they want.
