Bit of both.

Like last week though, whenever the Lions go forward they seem to look really dangerous. The 2nd quarter they hardly went forward that's why we did well.

Some amazing disposal numbers coming up for our midfielders in that first half
Foley - 26 disposals (8K 18H), 4 marks, 2 tackles
Martin - 21 disposals (17K 4H), 2 marks, 1 tackle, 1 goal (7 disposals in scoring involvements resulting in 4 goals)
Nahas - 16 disposals, 7 marks, 5 tackles & 1 goal
Houli - 15 disposals, 5 marks
Conca - 14 disposals (9K, 5H)
Grigg - 14 disposals (9K, 5H)
At 3 quarter time
Foley with 37 disposals and 8 clearances
Martin with 30 disposals
Houli 23
Grigg 23

Some serious leather poisoning going on there

Too many passengers for Richmond.

Miller, Edwards, nason all ineffective. Deledio and captain quiet

Don't agree with Miller Dooks.  Thought he had a very good first half and was responsible for getting a lot of opportunities for Jack.

Cant agree with you on this one, thought Miller had one of his best games, brought the ball to ground well, also Nason was quite influential considering he came on earlier than he would have expected. Deledio yes he was quieter than usual but made a couple of telling spoils and his disposal as usual is all class. Newman did what he had to do but certainly was no passenger, thought overall it was a good team effort even though we probably butchered a number of scoring opportunities.

Rance's best most complete game for the club. His improvement has been staggering tbh from last season to now. His spoiling, body work, strength, DECISION MAKING  and skills have gone through the roof.

Nahas - his last 2 weeks have been sensational. Gives us another much needed dimension, is becoming very damaging and his mistakes are diminishing.

Thought Miller has stabilised/organised our forward structure, tonight included - he just needs to bloody kick some goals - momentum killer.

I know Nason gets no love here but thought he was good tonight, love his run.

One problem we have is that our bit part players who play a defined role go completely missing when our stars get shut down ala the 3rd quarter. Players like White, King, Edwards, Nason need to take a leaf out of nahas's book and get in there and help out when the chips are down.

Im sorry but I've really gone off Edwards as a player completely. I know he did some good things in close but he makes me want to go hooligan when he has the ball 'outside'. He's a heart in your mouth type player everytime he gets the damn ball!

Thought Vickery's game was about as good as we've seen from him. His body work is improving and I loved his tackle on McGrath and the way he rubbed it in when he had him down, showed some ****!

Apart from that Martin was awesome, Foley was very very good, Cotchin started well but faded, Conca is coming along well, Deledio was solid, King (another 3 goals lol) and ofcourse jack is a bloody gun 5 goals - great tussle with Merrett

We've definitely improved but we still have a long way to go - hate it when we get too cute

edit: forgot to add what was with Grigg's performance tonight? Was he right? bc he looked like he was running with cement boots, seemed to be labouring bigtime

Houli - improving every week. In and under. Hard ball contests.
Vickery- gaining confidence.worth persisting with.
Gus- I love big, slow dumb dogs. Gus iS one. Tries all night.in the middle.
White- GOod.
Lids- down but ok. Just.
Foley- gets a lot of ball but is the king of tight space handball which is a problem when your skills aren't specified to such a low percentage aspect of the game.
Martin- gun
Conca And Grimes- taking the game on.
Cotchin- quiet

Missed JAckson.
