After losing I reckon 70-75K is about right - sadly

is this one of those ticketed matches where u can't get in on your 11game GA membership alone? requiring one to fork out money to buy reserved seating?

no its not peggles, if u dont mind sitting up the top, Q section that'll be general admission but i dare say some of the top deck would also be reserved...perhaps around half fwd flank.

My post earlier above the info from the MCC website shows some the GA on the top deck (Q sec)

eneral admission seating:

Southern Stand
Q1 – Q5

Ponsford Stand
Q29 – Q36

Olympic Stand
Q55 – Q57

OR...

Behind the goals Richmond cheer squad (punt road end) normally u can grab a seat around that area without having to reserve a seat....not sure for the bigger games if the AFL has that area as reserve if the demand is their...
Might have to get their a bit earlier and check out the best available...

Still reckon we'll nudge 80k bc most tiger supporters would know we are a chance against this mob and its been too long since we were involved in a genuine big game between 2 sides on the up.

None of those are important to our side as watson is to them.

Any result with Watson in gives a better indication as to where we are at.

MCG awaits one millionth footy fan
May 17, 2011

Another big crowd at an AFL match at the MCGThe Melbourne Cricket Ground is set to break the one million patron mark for the 2011 AFL season at Saturday night’s Dreamtime at the ‘G match between Richmond an Essendon, with one lucky patron to receive some great prizes.

The one million mark is expected to be reached prior to the start of the Richmond-Essendon clash on Saturday night, with an attendance of 38,471 required.

In the first nine rounds of the season, the MCG has seen 961,529 people scan through the turnstiles from 18 matches at an average of 53,418 per match.

The one millionth fan will win a “Nestle Peters Footy Pack”, which includes an MCG Superstore gift voucher to the value of $400 as well as entry tickets to a match in the 2011 AFL home and away season, including dining for two people in the MCC Members Dining Room.

Reserved seats to the Richmond-Essendon match are on sale through Ticketek (132 849 or www.ticketek.com.au). A crowd of 70,000-plus is expected.

Please note that at this stage it is expected that Yarra Park will be open for vehicle parking at the match, following last weekend’s closure due to heavy rain. However, this will be confirmed on Friday.

In the MCG’s first 18 matches this season, three have registered attendances above 80,000, including the 89,626 recorded on Anzac Day, the tenth-highest home and away crowd in VFL/AFL history.

richmondfc.com.au
Tue 17 May, 2011

It’s Festival time in the Northern Territory and as part of the celebrations, spectators at Dreamtime at the ‘G will have the chance to win a trip for two to the NT!

From June to September, the NT is home to a range of quirky festivals and unique cultural events.
You can race a boat down the dry riverbed in the Henley-on-Todd Regatta in Alice Springs; back a winner in the hilarious Camel Cup or cheer on racers at Darwin’s Beer Can Regatta; celebrate indigenous culture at Alice Desert Festival or pay homage to the humblest of headgear at the Beanie Festival in Alice Springs.

So head to Dreamtime at the G, put on your beanie at half time, and you could be on your way to Festival Territory!

The competition will take place at the start of half-time, so make sure you are in your seat with your beanie on and watching the big screen for your chance to win!
