Yeah gone for the year.

Should be able to get a considerable early start to the pre season next year whilst also working on upper body strength whilst going through his hammy rehab. With our new facilities I'd live in our gym.

Disappointing but could be worse. This is still a development year for us so if he needs time off we shouldn't rush him back. It's a bugger he won't be getting much more development during this development year though. Door opens for somebody else. Time for Astbury to step up again.Good luck Dylan.

Really devestated for the kid and the team. He was just starting to develop the form and confidence to structure up well with McGuane and Rance only to be cruelled by this. Hurts us as a team too because we will mis his spoiling skills and speed. Hopefully he can return bigger and better next year.

Probably opens the door for Astbury, Gourdis or even Post though all three have being playing up forward in recent weeks. Astbury and Gourdis have been out of form so I worry about their inclusion though I'm uncertain of Posts ability in the backline as a purely defensive spoiler. I always had the impression he was more a floating CHB who took a great uncontested grab.

Once again, speaks volumes for how far Grimes has come in such a small time frame that the team will legitimately miss him in the backline.

I'm wondering if we will just keep Post in the side to play as a defender
Port don't have too much height down forward to worry about and then we have the bye
Gives us a chance to bring in another running player

Or they might move Post to the backline and bring in Miller as the second tall forward.

Sane as thursfield. Promising full back in good form.

Hope he is in the team round 1 2012.

Post backline. Griffiths forward. Miller coburg.

Astbury becomes important. Gourdis should use this a a blessing.

Dreadful news this, lets hope he is right to start the pre-season, he should now hit the gym with protien powders and work on the top half of his body..
DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.

Maybe, but in the heat I think a running player may be more advantageous than a tall
Miller will probably come back in though

Grimesy is already back running  :).

Battered Grimes brothers join forces
By Luke Holmesby
Fri 17 Jun, 2011

INJURED brothers Jack and Dylan Grimes have flown to Port Douglas as part of their rehabilitation.

Melbourne's Jack and Tiger Dylan are in the Far North Queensland town after their clubs agreed a change of routine in their home city would freshen them up.

Jack underwent an oparation to the navicular bone in his foot while Dylan had surgery to repair a hamstring tendon.

"They said they thought it would be good for us to get away together so we can rehab together. It's worked out pretty well," the older Grimes brother said from the popular holiday destination.

"I guess because we both have an injury to our legs we're doing a lot more upper body stuff. Our programs are both pretty similar."

Dylan's recovery is ahead of his older brother but Jack said he was pleased with his own progress.

"He's lucky enough to be back running already but we're already comparing our training programs and what to do together. It's unfortunate we're both injured but it's worked out pretty well," Jack Grimes said.
