Tigers vs Swans game thread

A bit early given it's two weeks away but here's the Sydney Tigers supporter group flyer about pre-match and post-match functions for those going Sunday week.

Mumford just said on the tv he'll be back for the Swans against us  :P.

Yeah and so will Jack!!!!!! Great, who the hell knows which RFC team will be playing in Sydney....

The one that wants to win, genuinely, or the RFC pretenders!!! Really we just wouldn't know.. :-\
DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

Unlike the Port game, we will win this one.

History's not on our side. Just 2 wins from 12 at the SCG since 1995. We've lost our past 5 games at the SCG (most of them floggings) and our last win was back in 2004 when Richo singlehandedly turned the game around in the second half in the wet kicking 7 of our total 10 goals. Sydney have been a bogey side for us along with St Kilda and Adelaide despite the come from behind win last year. The one positive though is under Dimma this year we've tried to play through the corridor as much as possible which is what you need to do at the SCG. One thing we need to fix is our contested footy and clearances stats. If we don't we'll get absolutely smashed on the scoreboard on that short ground.

Dunstall, Lynch and Scott from Fox Insider agree with you, MT.  They did a segment on their show last night highlighting just that.  The main things they said were, win the clearance and the ball in almost in the goal square, and, when you need to defend, head for the wings, not up the middle.

With our inability to stop the crumbers up forward, losing the centre clearances sounds like giving away a lot of scoring opportunities.

Particularly if they are dominating the ruck dual. At the SCG winning the ruck dual is essential.

Better chance with Mumford out, regardless of who we pick.

Mumford will play against us but Kieren Jack will miss.

The Swans flogged the Lions in Brisbane last night as well so they are coming into the game on the back of a couple of wins :-\.

As an aside, apparently our game despite being an interstater will be on a one-hour delay into Melbourne on Seven  ???

I have sent a nasty to seven for what it's worth, also sent Richmond an email and suggested maybe they could get a live stream at the social club?

Hey the Grannies love Seven's Footy Flashbacks as much as tey love Better Homes and Gardens. Hence Seven are loathe to show the game live. :help

The recent Hawthorn game in Sydney a couple of Sundays back was shown on delay also.

Real Stupid. :help

Much to your disgust I have no doubt I wouldn't be surprised if Rance gets first crack at Goodes
