Brief summary:
* No trips to Palm Cove or meeting the Dalai Lama during the bye break (laughs).
* Individually Lids did feel like he could do with the break especially after a taxing game in Darwin.
* Training has been fairly similar to normal. We had Monday, Tuesday off last week then pretty hard training Wed, Thurs, Friday. Weekend off and Lids went home to visit the folks before returning Monday for match review of the Darwin game and basically training as normal.
* Just got to learn to win anywhere away as one day we could be playing a final interstate.
* We're a developing side and are showing some good signs. Foley back also has helped.
* looking forward to getting up to Sydney. Haven't won up there since 2004 when Richo kicked 7 goals of his own out of the team's 10.
* Matt Campbell reckons the SCG will suit Jack Riewoldt if we get it forward quickly as he can manipulate his body to win one-on-ones. Lids pretty much agreed. Vickery and Miller have been important in creating space up forward as well.
* Lids was asked who is best midfielder in the AFL. Lids went for one of our own in Cotch and threw Dusty in there as well. He then mentioned Judd as an out and out champion before returning to Cotch and saying he can turn it on and drag the team along.
