i thought we were tanking, and no one seems happy about it.

Not sure what else anyone was expecting from Coburg today with Tuck and Morton taken out of their already poor Coburg side/list. Sure their were 10 RFC players but most are within their first 2 years on our list and either late picks or rookies so most won't make it.

Post (I think he rucked today  :P )
Dea, Nason, Webberley, MacDonald
Miller, Hislop, Jakobi, O'Reilly, Hicks

A bare minimum half of the above won't be at Punt Rd next year. We all know already we have no depth.
MT,
if the club were fair dinkum
None of the above will be at Punt Road.
We might as well keep turning them over

I thought you rated miller jack?
Mcdonald first year recruit with a poor injury run.
dea a second year recruit with a poor injury run
jacobi a first year rookie with a poor injury run
oriely, an international recruit ( rookie) also with a poor injury run this year.

you show that sort of impatience and you will never get a core of mature players.

Mt was more accurate, and realistic,  when he said half that list.
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

i think that Miller has been servicable.
You people dont realise that there are players who are injury prone and some who aint.
Boomer Harvey plays with a broken thumb and gives all
We have players with continual soft tissue injuries who miss weeks and give little

tell you whats more realistic
Dea has played 3 games of TAC , and cant play
the only reason we picked up him was that his athetic ability was high when tested. :banghead :banghead :banghead

so, because dea played 3 games of TAC, that means we should delist all those that i named after 1 or 2 seasons?

You ever thought that some people develop later than others? how many top line juniors dont make the grade and how many players that go on to become very good afl players did not do anything that stands out at junior level?

No, am not a beleiver of players developing-skills wise
If you cant kick at 18, you wont be able to kick at 21.
if you cant run at 18 , you wont be able to run at 21
Our list is littered with players with poor skills as well documented
We pick up Dea who has very little football background for what ?

What Richmond needs to do is to be smart and unearth a "'Michael Barlow"
Instead of wasting time with players who will never ever make it.
eg Relton Roberts, Troy Taylor, Hicks, Dea, Hislop,
Also there is a reason no one else wanted to touch Derrickx?
he is injury prone, why waste our time
Go and watch the hawks young players, all can run and kick

might also add that every player the hawks drafted are well balanced players at the age they are drafted
Given the opportunity through mass injuries, they havent let the club down when given the oportunity to play senior football
keep in mind the hawks had to let go senior footballers in recent years including McGlynn and Kennedy who have performed well for there new clubs
Richmond offer Tuck and Thursfield as trades :chuck
maybe we should offer a Foley

derrickx broke an ankle so how is that injury prone. What is his history of injuries that makes him injury prone?

of the players you named there, only hislop is a poor to average kick. I havnt seen enough of dea to comment, but as he is still learning to kick i'd give him time. there is a big difference between someone who has played the game their whole life and being a poor kick and someone that has played a different sport learning a new skill. the others can all kick, but then again i know that in taylors case you base you assesment on one kick made by a player making his debut with apacked house of ferals screaming the roof down.

yet once again you compare apples with pairs. barlow is a mature aged recruit. one that will either step up or fall aside pretty quickly, whereas the list i gave are all youngsters.

love the way you make a comment but when it is questioned you go off tangents in some vain attempt to quantify what who said

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Now thats funny.

travis tuck?
peterson?
the unnamed because of court orders?
even franklin was overlooked for the very early picks due to his attitude.

have a look at the list of draftees in the pelchen  thread. not poor, but hardly sets the world on fire

pointless even discussing it with you, I dont even know why i bother
Derrickx had problems pre season
Had soft tissue injuries
I laugh when you say Dea is learning to kick, WHAT THE HELL IS HE DOING AT ELITE LEVEL THEN :banghead :banghead :banghead :banghead
Barlow is a gun
Reason i mentioned mature age type recruits is that we have a ""big hole "" in the 24-28 age group , through poor drafting, eg Matty Lloyd article today.
The players I have previous mentioned were a waste of time and effort, eg Troy Taylor, who really cares if he has great verticle leap, he couldnt play. the RFC have got it wrong, FACT
The recruiting has been poor, go and have alook at the Hawks list for example of the past 5 years, they have been badly affected by injury , more than any other club., but they are still in the top 4, why ,? As there recruiting people have an idea of what footy is about.
We recruit guys on hope
I seen 3 players at Port yesterday that would be better than half the list at the RFC, FACT

jack you wrote dea off after his first senior game and hicks the day he was drafted

Ever wondered maybe his right
It's not likely you wil make an error by writing a player off before his played a game, because at Punt Rd chances are they are useless.

that thought has crossed my mind plenty of times in regards to posters constantly writing off players. It doesnt make them some sort of seer though, just playing the percentages.

Half the time you're nothing but a troll for kicks i reckon, but you are 100% spot on with this.

and MT great post on the situation ....again.
