Melbourne could be without both Aaron Davey and Colin Sylvia for its clash with Gold Coast on Sunday after both were offered sanctions.

Davey has received a two-match suspension, which can be reduced to one match with a guilty plea, for elbowing Richmond's Mitch Morton on Sunday, while Sylvia could have his year finish prematurely after receiving a two-week ban for striking Tiger Jayden Post.

Due to his poor record, Sylvia's penalty cannot be reduced with a guilty plea.

And Tigers full-forward Jack Riewoldt and Demon Jordie McKenzie were each fined $1200 ($900 with a guilty plea) for wrestling,

I'd like to see Gold Coast get a win at the MCG against the dee's. It's something to finish the season off with a high for the young guys up there.

Here's the full MRP report:

Charges Laid:

Aaron Davey, Melbourne
has been charged with a level three striking offence against Richmond's Mitch Morton during the second quarter of the Round 22 match between Melbourne and Richmond at the MCG on Sunday August 21, 2011.

In summary, he can accept a one match sanction with an early plea.

Based on the video evidence available and a medical report available from Richmond the incident was assessed a reckless conduct (two points), medium impact (two points) and  high contact (two points). This is a total of six activation points resulting in a classification of a level three offence drawing 225 demerit points and a two match sanction. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to 168.75 points and a one match sanction.

medium impact?

these clowns are off their trees.

If Morton was a boxer he would have been counted out.

How many weeks did the imbecile ump get?

JR got boned hard with wrestling, he got mugged, dragged to the ground and was merely trying to get the angry, ugly little prick off of him.  I say this with no bias, I watched the replay.  What do they do in the MRP, just make poo up?
