Herald-Sun's barometer Round 24

Richmond

ON THE BLOCK: Hard to point the finger at anyone after three straight wins.

ON THE CUSP: Rookie midfielder Pat Contin has been putting his hand up in the VFL. Ben Nason was also named in the best at Coburg.

MICK WARNER'S FORECAST: Four in a row and a ninth-place finish will set the Tigers up for a breakthrough season in 2012. You heard it here first - the dark days are over. Finals next year and a decade of Moet-popping after that. The Tigers will push hard for an experienced ruckman during trade week but will persevere with Angus Graham and Andrew Browne.

RICHMOND - In the Mix

The Tigers round out their 2011 campaign against North Melbourne at Etihad Stadium on Sunday, and they are likely to be without feisty forward Jake King, who was cited by the match review panel for a sling tackle in last weekend's win over the Crows. Ben Nason was named among the best players for the Coburg Tigers in their last match, while rookie midfielder Pat Contin has also been winning plenty of the ball in the VFL.
