Griffiths was given the all clear & reinjured himself, his pee Weak
Butcher was eased into AFL & has done more in a few games than Broken Wings Griffiths

Sorry wrong there Monk - didn't re-injure the shoulder, played when it wasn't 100%. My question is why? to appease the supporters?  it simply defies logic. And Griffiths isn't weak I would argue our medical people are dumb

Butcher is a great example actually of clubs doing the right thing by a kid. Butcher had a really nasty back injury. Did Port rush him to play seniors? Nope they waited until he was 100% right and look at the benefits...

We don't play blokes at 100% we settle for 95% and say away you go  :banghead

But at the same time, WP, I didn't think Griff was running the same patterns or providing as much a chop-out for Jack as Miller was.  It's a no-brainer to surmise that he hadn't been practising the game plan whilst injured, which was what I guess he was sent back to the two's to practise.  I'm also guessing that learning some defensive skills in the two's would have been high on the agenda as well, whether his shoulder was right or not.

The shoulder excuse seems a little lame (sic).  Running the correct patterns and defensive work ethic seemed to be his major issues to me.

Point well made Muscles - agree about the defensive side of things the vast majority of kids that come through from the TAC have no defensive side to their game to be honest

However, Griff spoke at the same pre-match function and told us that he had just had an arthroscope of his re-contructed shoulder to make sure everything was OK and that they had cleaned out the joint again to enable him to get full movment back in his shoulder and all is good. But he also mentioned that 6 weeks at Coburg before playing AFL was probably not enough. Makes you wonder (again  >:() why did they continue playing him if his shoulder needed another cleanout -- the logic beggars belief

Now I know someone who has had a shoulder reco (I know i've mentioned this before) but they've always said it takes a good 12 months to get full movement back after the op and you may think it's right to go but it isn't

Had an arthroscope last week and the specialist said it's good and "it is good to go now"

Can start weights next week

That's what the kid said yesterday

Excellent news.  Yeah Miller does all the 1percent things when the ball comes in, he is an experienced campaigner though muscles,  Griffs is learning.  He has the tools just needs the experience and to put it into practice.

was told he put his hand up to play & was 100%. He did play & failed. His a damaged player & as Richmond will find out time & time again DONT BUY BROKEN PLAYERS WHO DONT GIVE THE CLUB GAME TIME. Polo has bad shoulders & his playing ? Whats Griffiths problem ?? His shoulders were always suspect before he played AFL. When are people going to wake up that to be a AFL player you cant have a weak body. Some players have all the gifts but the body fails them. If Griffiths wants to be a AFL player, He better ask Chris Judd how to overcome his problem because his time will quickly run out.
Now l dont have nothing against the player & wish him all the best but l seen this many times before & Richmond hold onto players who give nothing on the field over several years. We need consistant players who have & give consistant form each week.

With you here, look at how much time we wasted on Polack. We love picking up weak players sic Edwards, Taylor, Fiora, Polo, Tambling, Makes me Crrrrringe to think we could have had Pavlich, Buddy and Richo all on the same team, that is not the AFL's fault that is some Dip sht at RFC picking up DUDS and it is still happening.
Wasn't it strange that we had no one to keep up with a 35year old from North who cut us to ribbons with his run.
