Next Tiger Immortal

The RFC site is running a poll on the next Richmond ‘Immortal’ announced at the Club’s Hall of Fame night and gala season launch at the Regent Theatre’s Plaza Ballroom on Wednesday, March 23.

Poll results so far are:

Vic Thorp - 2%
Jack Titus - 26%
Roy Wright - 8%
Royce Hart - 44%
Francis Bourke - 9%
Graeme Richmond - 11%
 
I think it'll be between Hart and GR. When you think RFC their names pop in your head along with Dyer and KB.

Who do you guys and gals think it will be?

Yeah Royce Hart rounds out the holy trinity.

Just a question on Roy Wright, this guy won two Brownlows and came second in a Brownlow medal count as well, he also won 4 Best and Fairests and was an All Australian. How come he doesn't get that much recognition as a Tiger great?

4 of the 6 might struggle MJS. They've all got water-tight excuses though.
If 1 of those 4 becomes an immortal he won't be there for reasons of mortality.

I voted for Roy Wright for the reasons mentioned by JohnF. Jack Titus would be my next choice. I'm sure Hart, Bourke and maybe even GR will get there eventually. I just think some semblance of a chronological order should influence the choice.

The bummer for inductees when using my criteria is that it means they're dead before they get the chance to be immortal.

I would actually induct Jack Titus but I reckon it will be Royce Hart.

Maybe it will be both - last time they inducted immortals in the HOF I am sure they did 2 - Tommy and KB

I actually think of Tommy Hafey before KB. I don't think KB really epitomised the 'eat 'em alive' spirit, more the cunning fox than the roaring tiger. An immortal nonetheless.

Your right Jake. Tommy is there also as the club has rightly done so already.

I can guess it would be mainly because of time passed and him not playing in a premiership. He would have also only played in one final series when he was in his second year of VFL. The Club still holds him in high regard as he was named at first ruck in the team of the century.
