Unusual choice in that we have a recent history of running a different player each year and Nason ran for us last year.  Wonder if we can read anything into that draft/trade-wise?

under the handicap system beefcake would start 15 metres past the finishing post, hard to beat from there

Not sure if we did choose Naso, but when choosing someone it's a bit of a balancing act between who is A) in the state/country B) wants to do it.

I miss the days when clubs put their quickest blokes in. Crouch v James Walker was always a sight to see.  :bow

Beefcake should run

Would love to see him even try to make half way - it would be like watching an epileptic giraffe collapse at speed

Nason scraped into the final last year and finished 8th from memory. Robbie Nahas who is still in Melbourne would've been our best option if he wanted to run in it.

1st heat of @aflgf sprint. Top three - Patrick Dangerfield, Joel Wilkinson and Jacob Brennan. Dangerfield and Wilkinson by a fair space.

2nd heat of #aflgf sprint. Top three: Tim Golds (GWS), Luke Rounds and Lewis Jetta.

Jennifer Williams on twitter mentioned Houli as running in the heats ??
