pia is not overrated. Shytes on abletts/judd women.

Not a field of great quality there.

Thanks to GC17, 22 more players got a game this season than the season before. Miller can count himself lucky that GWS have come in now- it spreads the talent pool even thinner and will probably get him another year of AFL footy.

I would rather have Fevola on 'minimum chips'

Tell me you lot wouldn't be thinking finals if we had Fevola in the side instead of Miller.

Not saying this for the sake of arguing with you DC but I really think Fevola is a different beast to either Miller or Cuz.  I don't think he has it in him to knuckle down and bring positives to our team of kids - he's not renowned as a good trainer, good leader or anything like professional in his conduct on and off the field.  I think the only place we aren't desperate for some help is our forward line and that's the only place he can play.  The distraction that would come with him just wouldn't be worth the likely return imho.

Fev the human headline, be good for a club seeking some publicity if they can wear it.  If Fev can behave himself, you never know, third time lucky.  Miller is someone who, as an observer looking in, appears to have excellent character and qualities and helped bring a bit of old age and cunning back into the club something that is missing atm.

was interesting to hear the panel talking before the thugby world cup game yesterday.

Two blokes from different successful world cup campaigns talked about the leadership the side had and how important it was. They said that they were lucky in having a number of players with leadership and how important it was to have a number of players that showed leadership on and off the field for success
“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Leadership works if the leader and his followers have the quality to deliver onfield under pressure.

Back to Miller - if he is still playing in the seniors next year then we aren't improving and developing as a side.

probably a fair call, MT. Injuries could see him get a run, though.
