I don't get too carried away with the spin either, but gotta be a step up from Leo Berry's Gym.

Reminds me, need to make a cheque out to the FTF for $300 as promised.

Since the players are paying airfares
Not the case.

Apologies RFCO, simply read it as a statement on another site. "I beleive the players are paying for the majority of their expenses".

Well to me that's astounding.
Flights to Phoenix.  50 x $1800 (Flight Centre) = $90,000
Accom  in Phoenix.  30 x 8 days x $200 per room (re Athletes performance website) = $48,000
Cost of $138,000 excluding Athletes Performance costs or incidentals like food, drink and ground transport.

Astounding expense for a week of training when the cost of a coach is $150,000 for a year.

~$150k is actually the average wage for a coach in the AFL

got a sneaky feeling your estimates may be a bit high there RT.

They wont be paying full price, if at all.

“For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

Our corporate partners/fans are allowing us to travel to Phoenix, just like NZ last year. The guys that pour in lots of dollars to this footy club that often go unnoticed by the masses, we'd be nowhere without them! And as said, I'm not sure the whole lot will cost $138k

I hope people realise that things cost money.

Wouldn't the world be a wonderful place if we could all do whatever we like without paying for it.

Unfortunately if you are not willing to spend any money then you limit yourself to free stuff and sitting on your bum doing nothing. I don't believe that this approach is best to achieve success.

Of course I am happy to be proven wrong and will gladly start sitting on my bum more and wait for success to roll in.  :thumbsup
