2005 OER Footy Tipping

 Hi guys,

    With only a few weeks til the footy starts it's time to get cracking with our footy tipping competitions.

We have 3 comps running this year each with separate end of season prizes for the winners:

1/ OER tipping comp

Prize: Signed match day jumper

Each week pick the winner and margin for the Tigers game plus another match of your own choosing.

For each match each week:
* if you tip the winner and are within or at 10 points either side of the margin you get 2 points.
* Get one or the other get 1 point.
* -1 if you get both wrong.
* Your overall total can never fall below 0.
* Bonus 5 pts if you predict the correct margin and winner.

2/ Boogie's Footy Pick 4

Prize: Signed training jumper

Tip the winners from any 4 matches of the round. If select all 4 correct you get 1 point.

3/ Footytips.com.au

Prize: $50 tiger den gift voucher

Standard one run from footytips.com.au: Try to tip the 8 winners each week
- 1 point for each correct tip.

You will need to create a username if you don't already have one for footytips. Once you've logged on go to OER's tipping comp to join in.

Comp Name: OER Tipping Comp
Password: Tiges4Flag

The OER and Boogie comps will be run on the Competitions board like last year.

Just to clarify, here's how you join the footytips.com.au comp.

Step 1) go to footytips.com.au
Step 2) If you're not a member of footytips.com.au, click on "Join" and go to Step 3. If you are a member already, login in and go to Step 6.
Step 3) Under Option 2, fill out your details and click "Join footytips.com.au". 
Step 4) Confirm registration
Step 5) You can add a SMS option if you want. Otherwise click "continue"
Step 6) Click "Join a competition" then type in "OER Tipping Comp" and select "AFL" underneath it.
Step 7) Type in the comp's online password "Tiges4Flag" and click "View Comp Details".
Step Click "Join this competition"
Step 9) Click "Competitions" to go to the OER Tipping Comp page. And that's it.


Each week log on to footytips.com.au and click "Tipping" when you want to add your tips.

Just a quick reminder to get your tips in today if you haven't already for at least the Bris vs Saints which is on tonight. It doesn't so much matter for the OER tipping comp and Boogie's footy pick 4 comp found on the Competitions board as you don't have to select that game but it does for the footytips.com.au standard one.

* Go to www.footytips.com.au
 
* Enter "OER Tipping Comp" into the search box.
* Enter the password "Tiges4flag".
* Existing footytips.com.au members enter their username/password or new members can create a new profile.
* Enter your tips!

Question MT.  I've already put in my tips for the footytips comp before joining the OER comp.  Does my tips automatically transfer to the OER comp or do I have to manually put them in again?  Can't work it out

Julz, it says you've already tipped in round 1 so I presume it does transfer.

With Footytips.com you can only enter your tips once for each user name, they become applicable for all comps that you are entered into.
