IMO no.

I won't be surprised if he has been delisted. The only rookie I would keep is Contin.

Maybe he's told some Irish connection he wants to go home.  If he does its a disappointing result from our development program (or lack thereof) again.  Somehow Sydney develops players from other areas (Mike Pyke even) and we don't.  Essendon has a great Aboriginal development culture and we don't.  Even Collingwood seems to succeed (Marty Clarke) where we don't.

Thankfully we are spending more on development coaches, but I don't think Dimma is a natural development coach nor Wallace before him, not that its their faults.  The general spend on development is the key.

Would have thought the quality was important but baby steps I suppose.

Boost for Down as O’Reilly returns
By John Tyrrell
Irish Examiner
Thursday, October 13, 2011

DOWN football received a timely boost yesterday with the news of Jamie O’Reilly’s return home from AFL side Richmond Tigers.

The Mourne men have been decimated by the loss of Caolan Mooney and, this week, Marty Clarke’s decision to return to Collingwood. Therefore the news the Loughinisland clubman broke off preliminary contract discussions with the Tigers to return to finish his business Degree at Queen’s University will come as a huge fillip for the side.

O’Reilly, a former U21 county man, lined out in a club game for Loughinisland last weekend. He played as a running defender in Australia and his scorching pace would be a big addition to the Mourne’s senior set-up.
