From Paul Pickerings foxsports live trade week blog:

"Don't rule the Tigers out of the market for Caddy, either. You've still got pick 15 up your sleeve."

http://www.foxsports.com.au/afl/live-event-blog/day-seven-of-2011-afl-trade-week-looks-at-mitch-clark-fallout-brad-ebert-jordan-lisle-and-plenty-more/story-fn5k2y1b-1226167674955

Doesn't sound like he has any inside word does it?

For people who dont want to give up first and compo let me ask...would u trade Conca for first and compo? That's about Caddy's value provided Caddy's foot isn't rooted and therefore has 0 value.

Went pick after Conca. Similar style to Dusty i guess. Huge kid wins contested ball and can kick goals. Problem is he had the dreaded navicular injury.

yeah mate, if he can get his foot right will be a gun...as mentioned earlier would def need to get a thorough medical but based on what he's shown would be well worth exploring...

1655: Jesse says: Hey, what are the chances in your opinion that Caddy will come to the bombers out of 10? If so is there a chance the deal could be done today?

Sammy says: Pick 15 & Compo Pick or Pick 15 & A player that fits Gold Coast Needs For Josh Caddy to get to Richmond.

Paul Pickering says: Jesse, the best we can hope for today is that the Suns say something on the Caddy front. We won't get anything official from clubs tonight. Assuming the Dons are the frontrunner for Caddy, I'd say you're a six out of 10 chance. How's that for a stab in the dark? Given the family issues involved for Caddy, it'd be a PR spot-fire for the Suns if they don't allow him to head home. Sammy, I reckon you're in the right ballpark.

So Gold Coast want 19 AND the end of round one compo pick? Or just the compo pick?

Because if its the latter surely we could package 19 and a player to Brisbane for their compo pick then forward that on to GC for Caddy.
Both 19 and end of round compensation or a top 5 player + 19

Yeah he needs to desperately get to Melbourne because his dad is ill but nominates only Essendon, smells like horse pile to me.

Pick 15 + Daniel Jackson.

Without Daniel Harris, GC are very thin in terms of big bodied defenders. Jackson would fit in well.

They are quite full fown back and I don't think will be interested in 450k a year McGuane. Maybe Griffiths, Post could sweeten the deal?

Pick 15 + Jackson for Caddy, could be a serious win for us that GC may deal with especially with the PR factor of Caddy needing to be home with his father.
Go Tigers!

From Emma Quayle's twitter:

"caddy wanted to go to Essendon, they were the only club GC was talking to. He will stay on the GC"

"yeah, homesick and a few other things. The fact he was injured for so long didn't help"

"that's not accurate. Ess made a pitch, GC was dealing direct with them. The stuff with his dad was just one factor"

"dead & almost buried unless GC somehow relents tomorrow"

"caddy will stay on the GC if it doesn't happen, which is likely The dad thing was only 1 factor, GC was only talking to essendon"
