I seriously couldn't care what comes in the Adult membership pack as long as it has my membership card in it.  I want the club to survive, hence the reason I am a member.

I do however care what comes in the Cotchy's Cubs membership packs for my nephews, and I'm not dissapointed this year.  Good backpack.

Got my pack last week.
I went for the cap as I collect them. I have every cap since 2004 and wear one whilst saving the rest. I'll just pop into the club one day after work when I get back and pick u my 2012 cap.
I got my daughter upgraded to the toddler membership. She got a soft footy, towel, clapper and face paint. She got Jack on her card I got Cotch.

From RFCO:

"OK, for everyone concerned re: late packs.

Every pack was lodged with Australia Post on the same day, but if you have any concerns regarding your membership pack or wish to follow up on anything re: late packs please give the membership department a call on 1300 RICHMOND. "

Yeah well that still doesn't explain why people still haven't got their "packs"

Because if they were all lodged with Aust Post on the same day they all should be delivered within a reasonable time frame not in some cases a fortnight later

And yes still nothing at our house - not good enough RFC...and the excuses don't cut it either  >:( because I note that there never appears to be any "delays" with them taking their money every month (managed that before the 31st Dec)

Will be calling them tomorrow

And why do you have to be a member of a specific site to get this info?

Why couldn't this be sent out via the email list, instead of the pointless crap it is used for now.

I can't buy that excuse from RFCO that "all packs were lodged with Aust Post on the same day".  Some got theirs before Christmas, some (incl 3 of my 8 ) in the week after, and some (incl the other 5 of mine) haven't arrived yet.  And to add weight to my argument, 1 of my 3 already delivered was to Darwin which has a longer delivery time than all other Aust capital cities.  It defies belief that so many packs would have been misplaced or waylaid if they were all lodged on the same day.

Spot on.

This information should be relayed directly to the target audience (members).

mate, you cant organise the President to be attending the Annual General meeting, bit much to ask that you can organise the mail out of memberships. ::) ( I got mine 2 days before xmas-thank you, pity the other supporters )
and we dare not mention the ''fiasco"' of the opening of the social club with no TV.s, foxtel at the start of last year. considering most homes in Melb have foxtel, ohhh,, all too hard.

Clubs use a "mailhouse" for this sort of stuff

These mailhouses then "lodge" the stuff with Australia Post. Lodging with Aust Post means it is at an Aust Post distribution centre waiting to be mailed, doesn't mean it has been mailed. It means that the stuff sits around until Aust Post get around to moving it

As the mailhouses get cheaper postage rates for bulk postage, it is not Aust Posts priority to move these bulk deliveries, cheaper rates means they don't have too.

No a doubt in my mind that's what happened here with the membership packs.

The Club can point the finger of blame at whoever they want but at the end of the day the Club made a promise to its members and have failed to deliver (no pun intended) on that guarantee. They hired the mailhouse who clearsly haven't delivered on their side of the deal with the RFC.

Sorry but IMHO the Club has to take the heat for this .....

I can understand the frustration of those that didn't receive theirs before Christmas, but if the club has passed the memberships to the 'mailhouse' for distribution on the date required to have them received by us before Christmas, then I don't believe it is an error they should be copping it for.

I understand they made the promise, but I also believe they did everything they possibly could to ensure the promise was upheld. There is nothing to say they went through a cheap 'mailhouse' either, this could be the eff up of some Aus Post employee who is using the box full of our memberships as a box to sit on as they work  :rollin

RFC will cop it, but I don't think this is a stuff up of the clubs, and I believe the club should seek compensation from the said 'mailhouse' for breaking its guarantee.

And WTF does Foxtel and TV's at the Social Club have to do with Memberships? At least now the club can afford such things, not too long ago Jack you would have been up on the roof with a coat hanger trying to get the reception right on the Grundig down below.
