that's disappointing if we select McCarthy!

rather take Maric in the PSD and avoid McCarthy.

seems like we have told McCarthy we are drafting him.

a nothing player really ... waste of time and money ... at least Maric is a small forward ...

he'll pressure blokes like jackson for his spot.

a PSD pick isnt much to pay for that.

Nine news in SA saying Port are very happy McCarthy did not nominate for the ND, so they are speculating that they will grab him in PSD.

Neon Leon didn't nominate either so either that's saying Port have gone cold on Davis which is at odds to what we are hearing out of Port or the media report is garbage as the Power can't get their hands on both in the PSD. Not that I care if we miss out on getting McCarthy.

primas said on the radio a couple of days ago that if they get davis it will free up Pittard to play midfield.

John McCarthy yesterday rejected an offer from the Power to join them, saying he wanted to go to Richmond in the pre-season draft.

For me it's simple if cant kick we should not pick him up .I thought we were only going to  draft super kicks from now on.

do we need to vacate another list spot to be able to do that?
Could elevate Newie to the  Vets list.

for mine both McCarthy and Maric are solid rookie list options and Id welcome both of them to take up first couple of spots...id like to think there's a couple of fresh options out there for our first 3 ND picks though...maybe not, we dont really know how shallow this pool is.....without knowing the lads inside out Id prob favour Mccarthy due to his height..maric at <180cm really makes it difficult to have an impact at AFL level

Or the rumours about Goo are true? There's still another and final list lodgement after the National Draft which could be use to free a senior list spot if needed prior to the PSD.
