Personally I think McCarthy would add some good depth to our midfield.

Is he an inside type of player? Could he push Jackson to the Burgers???  :pray

if he did that he would become a hero amongst the tiger faithful.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.

So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."

To answer your questions JVT.

Yes, he's a hard-at-it midfielder with decent height at 189. A little bit light at 82kg but he's one of those stringy sort of guys.
Pretty tough and strong at the ball, decent decision-making and passable disposal.

Could he push Jackson back to Coburg? Definately, since he would be competing for the bigger inside-mid role against Jackson and Tuck.
Main question would be whether he is taken in front of a mature player from secondary leagues with possibly better skills and at what point.

WOOOOHOOOO MCCARTHY!!!

Sorry.. been keen for this to happen since I heard he wasn't re-signing at the Pies. Not the brightest footy spark so I get pretty stoked when stuff I tip happens  :rollin

Hopefully he puts in the hard yards at training and we give him a spot  :pray

FFS here we go again, no one wanted Toovey who has had a heap more game time and is better he of would filled more of a required position within the club.

Now you want a Collingwood reject that we dont need position wise

Give me a break, even costing us nothing we don't need this type of player....we have Edwards... :lol

DIMMA - You will be held ACCOUNTABLE...

“We are really excited about what we have brought in. We have got great depth of players that can take us where we need to go. We are just putting some cream on the top at the moment,” he said.
