the article hints at 2 million(over 3 yrs I assume) which is low - very low
lets hope this is wrong figure and that GGs figure is correct, if its only 700k a year then theres a serious problem at the club IMHO. It should be double that which puts it where GG has the amount as being. In relative terms what does a Jeep Grand Cherokee cost $60k maybe $70k or say a Jeep Wrangler $30k maybe 40k. In effect Jeep and Chrysler just have to sell 10 to 12 Grand Cherokees a year to Richmond supporters to get there money back on 700k a year. On a risk reward its a great investment for them even at $1.5 million a year all they have to sell say 15 Grand Cherokees and afew Wranglers and they'll come out in front. When there marketing to a club which has 600,000-800,000 supporters Australia wide, then the odds are pretty good for them. Im therefore hoping that the $700k figure is wrong and that the $1.5 million a year is the correct number as that would be more to real value for both parties. And thats before any media exposure and marketing done for them by the club, corporate boxes and other sponsorship benefits.
