Have we taken the ME Bank sign down yet?
Replacing it with a YOU Bank sign I believe.

I hear there's a potential alternate board under the guise of a "will remove the ME bank sign" coup.

New Jeep/Richmond commercial

I can't find a link but towards the end of Ch 7's telecast last night they played during the ad break the new Jeep ad with Dusty, Rance and Houli.

They had descriptions for the vehicle matching the footy team: precision, endurance, power, toughness, etc. The ad ended with something like "a well-oiled machine".

Who drives, wins

Car brands add up premiership points as Jeep takes top honours in 2019 AFL season

Neil Dowling

WHEN Richmond steamrolled Greater Western Sydney (GWS) to take the AFL premiership for 2019, it was a victory for Jeep as well as a great result for Kia.

As the overall sponsor for the competition, Toyota also came out a winner, while Geelong’s late exit and its position at the top of the ladder in the home-and-away season kept Ford front and centre of attention.

The grand final capped a season that put Jeep, which has been struggling with sales down 24 per cent this year, in the spotlight.

Indeed, that ‘one day in September’ was a triumph for Jeep’s marketing outfit as its 18 on-field billboards wearing the brand logo suddenly appeared in every newspaper and online news and sport sites across the country – and even out of the country.

At the end of the home-and-away season this is how the final auto sponsorship ladder looked:

1 Geelong Cats – Ford

2 Brisbane Lions – Hyundai

3 Richmond Tigers – Jeep

4 Collingwood – Holden

5 West Coast – WA Toyota

6 GWS Giants – Kia

7 Western Bulldogs – Mercedes-Benz Vans

8 Essendon Bombers – no car sponsor

9 Hawthorn Hawks – Nissan

10 Port Adelaide Power – no car sponsor

11 Adelaide Crows – Toyota

12 North Melbourne Kangaroos – Mazda

13 Fremantle Dockers – no car sponsor

14 St Kilda Saints – no car sponsor

15 Sydney Swans – no car sponsor

16 Carlton Blues – Hyundai

17 Melbourne Demons – Jaguar

18 Gold Coast Suns – no car sponsor

I think Jeep may finish up next year as a major sponsor at Tigerland. Sales have been falling and I think whatever Richmond supporter wanted a Jeep has now got one. I also think our sponsorship needs to be at least on a par with Collingwood and Essendon and maybe Jeep wont want to go to that level.

Our sponsorship should be worth $2.5 to $3.0 million a year with what we can offer to a company advertising wise.

Along time ago when they first came on board, yeah

But now...

It is alot more than that

Think you and everyone else forgets with nearly every single sponsorship deal in the comp there are bonuses written in for things like premierships....

Here we go again.... every few years you raise this Ramps.....

We have 2 majors: front of the jumper and back of the jumper - both are significant deals. Significant....

Our sponsorship levels are at record levels...we are on a very good space here, a very good space....

dont' get seduced by rumoured amounts the media go on with as they don't have a clue

I'd rather be sitting where we are that most clubs in the comp

Are the details of these deals commercial in confidence or are they on the public record WP?

I read somewhere recently that our sponsorship deals were amongst the best in the AFL.
