Great effort by the Dees. 3 players down injured and still lead by 4 goals.
Lets hope they can keep it up

Melbourne still in front by 7 at 3/4 time. Go Dees - hang on.
Port just in front of the Bombers as well in the 3rd qtr
. Geez I'd laugh if Essendon fall apart now on the run home. A bunch of front runners.

That would be right. I picked Carlton (yeah... dumb I know, just thought they'd get up in a fast paced game), Freo and Bombers. First 3 tips down the drain.

Don't worry dwaino. Freo and the Bombers kicked away in the last quarters to win easily. Melbourne unlucky as they were down on numbers on the bench and ran out of legs. Oh well we've just got to make sure we win today so we don't have to worry about what Freo did/does.

Yeah I finished watching the game. As much as I loath Melbourne, we need to win well now seeing as Freo have a good run home too.

Collingwood doubling Geelong score 97-49 late in the third.
With the Cats % taking a battering a win for us tonight would have had two spots up for grabs in the 8 given we could have been just one game behind them.
St Kilda v Brissie toss of the coin.
Missed opportunities.

GWS were competitive for a quarter and a half but got blown away again after half-time by 119 pts. Pretty much shows our form-line over the past month or so has been very ordinary. The Hawks likewise have kicked away after half-time from the Dogs to lead by 10 goals. The real contenders are starting to flex their muscles in the second half of the season as the top sides always do.

Cats have had their best start of the year. 29-0 half way through the quarter.

Tipped cats by 3, they really suprised me tonight. I still think they have a hard road ahead and although making finals is very realistic I'm just not sure about how far they'll go.
Time will tell
One thing for sure the verucas will go into hiding this week

Always great seeing the Bombers crash and burn by 10 goals
. The old Cat champions still have one or two punches left to throw but I reckon they've caught Essendon on the slide given in the past month of so the Bombers have lost to Melbourne and been flogged by both St Kilda and Geelong.
