Kel Moore moved onto long-term injury list
« on: February 25, 2012, 03:41:24 AM »
THE Tigers yesterday moved defender Kelvin Moore to the long-term injury list.

Moore will resume full training in the coming weeks after missing last season with a hip problem.

Richmond is yet to promote a replacement to the senior list, but former Melbourne livewire Addam Maric impressed in last week's NAB Cup games.

I hope for Kel's sake all that hip readjustment surgery doesn't cause him problems post-footy. He's still a young man with his life ahead of him.

We could promote a rookie (two in fact) prior to round 1 anyway as we have no vets outside the senior list. This just gives us the chance to promote a third rookie if we wanted to. Miller and mini Maric will obviously get the promoted.

isnt newy on the veteran's list? I think we can only promote two rookies.

From memory he is on the Inside Veterans list which means he is still counted on the main list.  If he goes on the Outside list then we can replace him, I think that's how it works.

A really negative post. Worthy of a ban.

Heard some mail 'round the traps last night and Kel is set to return in a Warren Tredrea role across half forward in the 2nd half of this year  :gotigers Could be amazing. Look out.... whoa :shh

That plan is all well and good but he's going to have to pry that position from McGuane ;) He is set to dominate there this season as he did in his Junior years :lol

I'm not sure if that was meant in jest, but McGuane could actually play CHF and play it well.

Must be contractual. Sadly appears his footy career is over.

Stick a fork in him.
It's that simple Spud

Agree BJ. I can see Kelvin holding a press conference in July retiring from footy citing his inability to get his body right and we'll promote a rookie.
Kelvin will also more than likely indicate that he will stay on at the club under some capacity and coach/ mentor some of the younger players or defenders.

I cheerfully withdraw my earlier comment.  :clapping
