Great to see Astbury off the Indefinite list and given a time frame to be injury free. Given his height, he could fill that second/third tall role. He was no immediate onfield star but I have high hopes for this kid  :thumbsup

In regards to Astbury the 3 weeks is regarding a return to vfl footy?
And I know you can't measure how long it will take? But would they have projected a timeframe for him once back in vfl playing? Given he has to adjust, feel 100% and have confidence and form before being selecte for seniors?

Real pity about helbig, I would have loved to see him earn some serious game time in the seniors

If 3 weeks is right - would think that given he hasn't played for 12 months he would need a good solid 4-6 weeks at VFL level to get his match fitness up. I say 4-6 because his playing time will be monitored very closely you would have thought.

Eg: say week 1 - half a game at even perhaps VFL reserves level, week 2; 75% game time with then 4 weeks of full games (allowing for std rotations)

Don't reckon you'll see him in the seniors until after the bye

In the medical room: Brad Helbig

http://www.richmondfc.com.au/roarvisionarchive/tabid/11454/contentid/441303/default.aspx

Brad says surgery means 3/4ers of the season is gone. Foot specialist told him 12-14 weeks.

Real shame about Helbig. Good to see time line with David. At least we know he will be playing VFL footy soon. It will take time for him to regain confidence and match fitness but at least he will be playing footy and not on sidelines

Keeping the dream alive Moore, never give up,  good on you mate, pity some of our players don't have the same attitude on field.

All the best!

Which player give up on the field?

So are my ways higher than your ways,
And my thoughts than your thoughts."
