A brief summary:
* When Cotch came into the club you almost had to be in fear of the coach and there was little conversation. Dimma wants to encourage honest open conversations. So you are comfortable talking to him about anything and are even allowed to take the pee with him in his presence. He can still command authority though when needed and he can give us a good spray when he wants to as well.
* Any team rules that are unquestionable? Cotch said there's emphasis on winning the contested footy and playing to the structures. Even with the young developing guys at Coburg they are told if you don't play to the structures you won't ever get a game.
* They showed vision of the boys training indoors - Jack with a hammer and a ping pong ball, Moore bouncing multiple basketballs and Miller trying to avoid Nahas throwing little bouncey balls at him. Cotch said that's about developing those minor motor skills. They say you don't always need a footy in your hands although after Thursday night it may have been better to have a footy in our hands all the time lol.
* Cotch turns 22 next week (April 7).
* Barring Newy of course who he admires as the leader of the footy club, he admires Judd and Ablett as leaders and how they can influence a game.
* Mick Molly said Cotch will win 3 Brownlows.
* Cotch said Kingy always has ants in the pants looking for things to do. They then showed vision of Kingy all over Cotch at training wrestling. Cotch said he may have said something about Kingy's height that day lol.
* Andy Maher said the final margin on Thursday night wasn't a true reflection of the competitiveness of the game.
