IDIOT of the week was easily won by the Richmond supporter who stumbled out of the MCG last weekend.

His adrenalin fuelled by the Tigers' thumping win against the Demons, and looking and sounding like he had drunk the bars dry during the afternoon, he spotted a group of Storm supporters heading in the opposite direction towards the twilight game at AAMI Stadium.

``New South Wales, New South Wales,'' he chanted, in solidarity with Storm's opponents, the Canterbury Bulldogs.

Failing to elicit much interest, he upped the ante with the classy refrain, ``F------ cheats, F------ cheats'', referring to the salary-cap scandal that engulfed Storm.

Suddenly the Storm fans, who all looked as if they could have been first emergencies for Craig Bellamy's men, were very interested.

But they chose to ignore the rantings and walked by.

I'm guessing Chris was one of the Storm fans being harassed by this guy.  Unless there was some personal vendetta against this guy I see absolutely no other reason why this made the paper.  If this stuff makes idiot of the week in the paper, I can think of hundreds of people at the footy every week that do the same plus worse.

Apart from being non news the reason why I find this article annoying is because on Tuesday KB was speaking to a spokesperson of the storm, who wrapped up the convo by thanking the richmond supporters for their attendance to the game. There was apparently yellow and black everywhere.

And Chris knows for a certain fact that the said "idiot" was referring to the Storm when he mentioned cheats?  Even though he had just witnessed a game between his own Tigers and another team of confessed cheats who are now just starting to reap the rewards of tanking for draft picks?
