DIMMA'S DISSECTION: ROUND 12

VIDEO: www.richmondfc.com.au/video/2012-12-31/dimmas-dissection-round-12

Dimma: ‘We couldn’t stop the Kangaroos’ transition’.

Edit:

* Lost contested ball in second half by 26 (48 - 74). Primary reason for the loss and why North outscored us by 10 goals in the second half. In the first half we were +2 for contested ball. Main way to win contested ball is to get numbers to the contest and outnumber the opposition. Did that in first half (showed examples) but we were outhunted and outnumbered at contests by North in the second half.

* We didn't restrict North's transition. In first half North's transition from D50 was 23% for 0.2; in second half it was 37% for 3.3. When you are being beaten in the contested ball, you're not getting your hands on the footy and chasing tail which tires you out. You don't get what we call that "offensive rest".

* Top 8 sides are the top 8 sides in contested ball. Last year we were #2 in the AFL; this year we are #14. Primary reason why we are not where we want to be. Fix that and the rest of our game will improve. This week the focus will be contested ball and outnumbering the opposition at contests.
Dimma should STFU. Comes out and tells us why we lost, days after we lost and sits there scratching his ass on matchday not knowing what to do  :clapping

Sick of all the talk the club has done this year, nothing but BS words that they continually fail to back up when it counts.

What the stuff have they been focusing on every other week?  :wallywink

Community outreach programs, videos for the website, promos, training pranks, new tatts, hustling sponsors & fans....you know, the usual important football stuff that helps you win matches.

DIMMA'S DISSECTION: ROUND 13

VIDEO: http://www.richmondfc.com.au/video/2013-07-01/dimmas-dissection-round-13

Dimma: ‘Our third quarter let us down’

The Tigers improved in key focus areas, winning the contested ball in the midfield by +20. However, inaccuracy in front of goal hurt the Tigers on the scoreboard and led to the 20 point loss against the Dockers.

DIMMA'S DISSECTION: ROUND 14

VIDEO: http://www.richmondfc.com.au/video/2014-06-25/dimmas-dissection-r14

Dimma: ‘Our contested ball work was much improved’

Dimma was pleased with the team’s ability to win the contested ball, restricting the Swans’ ability to score from only 37% of inside 50 entries. However, the Swans’ defensive pressure forced a number of turnovers in their forward half, leading to scoring opportunities.

Give me a break!!! This dissection twaddle is the biggest waste of time, captain obvious at his best. We want solutions not problems, all he can point out is what every supporter comes on this forum and whinges about day in day out. ACT LIKE A SQUIRREL HARDWICK, GET SOME NUTS, CULL YOUR FAVOURITES AND FIX THE BLOODY PROBLEMS. Sick of seeing the same errors by the same players every week in addition to the players who don't even appear in the vision because they only had about one possession. Glad I got that off my chest...good therapy this forum.

DIMMA'S DISSECTION: ROUND 15

VIDEO: http://www.richmondfc.com.au/video/2014-07-02/dimmas-dissection-r15

Dimma: ‘Our contested ball win was a massive strength’

The Tigers’ win over St Kilda on the weekend was helped by winning the contested ball in all three zones – defensive 50, midfield and forward 50 for the first time this season. Dimma also commends young Tiger, Anthony Miles’ recent performances.

Why wasn't Miles in from r1  :banghead
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.
