Dimma's dissection video of the loss to the Pies:

VIDEO: http://www.richmondfc.com.au/video/2015-04-05/dimmas-dissection-round-2

----------------------------------------------------

* 70 pts from turnovers. Disappointed with our ball use. Champion Data calls them "give aways" and we had 24 of them, 14 of which were unforced. From our point of view that was aa lack of skill execution. We didn't use the ball well and we gave the opposition 14 unforced errors which are the ones that really hurt you as they go the other way (i.e. opposition score). There were a few that if we had used the ball correctly then we would've scored but we gave them up due to poor skill execution which was really disappointing.

* A couple of decision making errors as well. We went through those in our review. One of the challenges as coaches is trying to eradicate those mistakes and minimising those errors. Turnovers hurt and we've been pretty poor in that regard in the first two rounds.

* We do have a rule along the lines of not passing inside 50 when we've got a shot on goal. In round 1, Rioli took the advantage and missed when Jack got a free in front of goal. The other thing is clock time management. We made two errors late in the last quarter - (i) Ty passing off and (ii) Shaun Grigg taking the long shot with 4 mins to go. We tell our players to take the full 30 secs which ends up about 40-45 secs once the umps get involved. This then becomes a time management problem for the opposition with less time on the clock. Disappointed with that part of our game. We had about 4 mental errors in the last 4 mins which really cost us in the end in getting the four points.

* Missed shots on goal were a real issue. Ones we would normal kick. We kicked 3.6 from set shots in the first half. Missed a number of those from outside 40. We do a truckload of those at training. So it was disappointing. We hit the post three times. Last year, we were very good with our accuracy but this was one of those games where we failed to hit the scoreboard regularly and it came back to hurt us. We've had a number of shots in both games - we missed 7 against Carlton and missed 3-4 on the weekend. We're having lots of shots but are not taking them. We know we've just got to do better.

* Despite losing a game we should've won, we need to bounce back against Adelaide this week. So, head to Etihad in numbers and support your boys.

Why does he do this crap?
Serious question.

Anyone????????
to annoy whiney lagging biatches?
If that's the case he's doing a brilliant job! :snidegrin

The only ones doing a brilliant job are the Dimma applauding biatches with the sore wrists. Wake up

--------------------------------------------------------

While injuries have not helped the Tigers, coach Damien Hardwick has plenty of headaches with how they are playing.

In particular, they have handballed too much early in the losses to Adelaide and West Coast.

The first quarter against Adelaide featured 31 kicks and 46 handballs while, last Friday night, they had 32 kicks and 28 handballs in the opening term against the Eagles.

"There's no doubt it's causing us a little bit of grief, especially early in games, with the amount of turnovers we've had," Hardwick told the club website.

"We don't want to be over-handballing for the sake of it."

They handball because the player with the ball looks up and no one is coming for the ball because I guess the game plan is to go backwards and sideways. Start changing the game plan and the handball vs kick ratio will take care of itself.

Players should just make their own game plan.
