Lloyd compares Vickery to Watts and Anthony
« on: May 06, 2012, 02:04:52 AM »
Lloyd in today's Age...

Others struggling to cope due to a lack of strength and competitiveness in the forward 50 are Melbourne's Jack Watts, Richmond's Tyrone Vickery and Fremantle's Jack Anthony. After being subbed off against Carlton, Anthony has been dropped this weekend and may have played his last game for Fremantle, and Melbourne and Richmond are compromising their team structure by having to take Vickery and Watts out of the forward line and invent other roles for them as they have been non-competitive when forward. Watts has also been dropped this weekend and will be in the VFL for a sustained period until he can improve his physical aspects.

When did we compromise our structure and find a different role for vickery rather than the forward/ruck role he has been playing ?

 :huh
Does matty ever have any idea about what he talks about?

I'd compare Lloydy to Tony Shaw. Despite their inabilty to communicate a simple thought into any kind of insight - they somehow remain employed.
Leeches of the football world because they played for clubs with a large fan base
“I find it nearly impossible to make those judgments, but he is certainly up there with the really important ones, he is certainly up there with the Francis Bourkes and the Royce Harts and the Kevin Bartlett and the Kevin Sheedys, there is no doubt about that,” Balme said.

top four isn't beyond them. Even with suspect players or injuries they have exceeded expectations. What they lack in player depth they make up with sheer determination and a winning belief and a success driven culture. That's already better than what we have at the moment.

They have an easy first half draw.. Sure they beat Carlton but I just can't see them having any impact.

They will have a poo second half of the season.

We would have been 4-2 with their draw right now maybe even 5-1.

Yet they sit third on the ladder and thrashed Carlscum. How sweet that would be....   We only dream of beating those cheats.
Winning Culture is the key and very high standards at your club something we haven't got right yet. You think if we had the Anzac game against the pies since '95 we would even have been competative? There's no way.
Hardwick is doing ok but he and Gale have still a long way to go to change the culture. I reckon it's essential to get losers out ie. Cameron and bring success driven great club people in ie. Balme.

That would be a no al :yep. Someone needs to remind Matty that Vickery is 200cm and can play forward and ruck.

Perhaps they are just playing better footy at the moment?
but according to you we are a better side and the only reason we have lost to top sides in the last few weeks is because we dont have self belief? never mind that twice we fought back against a very good side who looked like they were going to run away from us, because you dont need self belief to do that?

If we had no self belief we would not have even got close in these games, but you need some idea to understand concepts like that.

Nor are your ways my ways,” says the Lord.
