Footy Barometer - Round 12 From: Herald Sun
June 11, 2012 2:01PMRICHMONDON THE BLOCK: Oh dear. Not the Tigers day. Their effort was strong and they surged inside 50 58 times – 15 more than Fremantle – but couldn’t burst the dam wall that is the purple machine under Ross Lyon. So who comes out? Riewoldt will probably miss with ligament damage in his ankle, Foley is in doubt while debutant Brett O’Hanlon could be sent back to the VFL.
ON THE CUSP: Jake King was sorely missed on Saturday, he’ll come straight back in. Speedster Matt White remains a chance of making the trip to face GWS, but there wasn’t much other joy at Coburg, which was pounded by Bendigo in Shepparton. Great to see Luke McGuane make a quick return from what was first believed to be a bad knee injury. And even better to see forgotten defender Kelvin Moore (hip) slip quietly back into competitive footy. Moore returned via the VFL development league for his first hit out this year.
SAM LANDSBERGER’S FORECAST: The Tiger bandwagon hit a roadblock on Saturday and it’s no wonder – you can’t go hooning around AFL land at 150km/hr like that. For all their hard work this year Richmond is stuck in 11th but finally some relief in the draw is ahead. It’s GWS, Melbourne, Gold Coast and a bye in the next five weeks. Tick, tick, tick and then hopefully it’s time to go boom.
