What happened in the second half, must be contagious :shh
Geelong pretty much dominated and kept the ball in their forward half as 19 shots to 2 shows. Coburg even with the breeze just had their rebounding kicks intercepted by Cat half-backs. IIRC the Geelong guy said their CHB Brown had 13 possies and half-a-dozen marks in the 3rd qtr. Coburg was just feeding him the ball.

Verrier was the one who had two different highlights videos from his U18s time - one showed him looking like a future superstar with his run and carry and breaking the lines and hitting targets while the other showed him making poor turnovers doing the same thing. Hopefully he's learning to do more of the former now as he develops.

Mostly defenders in the Coburg bests which shows where the ball spent most of the day. Selling home games has seen in the end two heavy defeats for the Burgers. It never makes sense to me selling home ground advantage even if it means a quick short-term buck.

Kel Moore. Old mate is back.
Good to see for his sake  :thumbsup.

At least one this year before he announces his retirement.

i have been thinking this past week that griff has now had a handfull of games and maybe its time to just increase the load on his shoulders a little..CHF for the melb game would be a good move i think.

leave griff down back. people bemoan our lack of a monster backman, well heres a 2 meter tall bloke that is agile and not only kicks the ball a mile, but is also able to constantly hit up targets coming out of defence.

Al you do make a good case for leaving him down back, however i think the hole at CHF is just too big to ignore

while the hole at CHF may seem bigger than the hole at CHB, i feel that the other young tall options, in vickery, elton and astbury offer more up forward than down back.

a good CHB can really control a game. A bloke who can provide a marking option from the kick out and then be able to hit up a leading CHF is worth their weight in gold, and can make your forwards look good. CHB was often referred to as the pivot.
