Culture problem at VFL level. No pride or leadership. Hardwick needs to kick some arse.

Clarkes neck will be on the block if things don't improve, Ronald McDonald could win with that side in , FFS :banghead

Really?

Let me see FWIW the following blokes didn't play as they were sitting in front at me at Etihad this arvo

Reece McKenzie
Hampson
Ellis, C

Plus a couple of others who I didn't recognise

Then the injured blokes in Foley, Newman and Dea

Then throw from that squad the following blokes played the AFL game

McIntosh
Lambert
Astbury

So that side isn't even close to our best VFL

Agree the result was unacceptable but let's not talk up the side when at least 10-12 walkups were missing

So outside a couple of senior players it was An average under VFL side made up of VFL listed and under 21 players

Astbury WP?  You don't think he's in our best 22?

U need to reassess their worth, dear.
There's plenty of silk on that list matey, clark couldn't coach a pig to be dirty

Serious question Bo, how do you rate our Senior coach?

We haven't had a decent ressies side since Coburg got thrashed by Geelong in the GF in 2007.

Then again we haven't beaten Geelong at senior level since 06, Collingwood since 07 and we seldom beat North also.

Think the culture stems down from the seniors into the ressies. Its pandemic like.

Vickery would be a half decent foil for McBean in the curtain raisers. :-\

FJ is apparently a magician pulling rabbits from hats.

Furthermore he must be the head of Mensa in Australia. Everything he does is a "masterstroke".

My main point was that based on who was named in the VFL squad and who actually played it wasn't a strong side despite what some may think. So based on that the loss although unacceptable margn wise was no great surprise

But to answer your question Smokey about Astbury. Right now and definitely based on what I saw today, no I don't think he is

I thought Astbury made a slow start today but then gave Petrie a flogging.

the bloke who I thought unlucky was Elton who played really well in his hit out. He wont get a run, but Elton should be given a chance at a key position defensive spot.

Felt sorry for Elton today. The ball just kept coming his way with little support.

Agree. He was fine, definitely best 22 for mine. Allows Rance to play with a little less inhibition.

Bit hard to claim it's not "open to the public" when you can stand on the footpath on PuntRoad Oval and watch
