dont know what his age has to do with it. only question we need ask is can he play will he be an upgrade on any player we have cut.
 the answer to those questions is an emphatic yes.
tough experienced inside mid he would have filled foleys shoes pretty well this yr.
we moan about the lack of midfield depth but then moan about players being too old who would cost nothing but their salary. players who are massive upgrades in the short term on what we have.

fair dinkum we could do  6 or 7 mature players and 5 or 6  kids this yr.

i would not hesitate to take moloney chaplin knights as free agents.
i would also be looking to take late nd and rookie picks players  from state leagues like

michael sikora 23yo ruckman
sam dwyer  23 24 yo mid
and there are plenty others who would be mbetter options than those we have cut and some who remain on our list.

forget about his age tell me one midfield player who is up for grabs who is better than moloney. who cares if we only get 3 yrs out of him it would be three yrs of better footy than we would get out of lots of others.

Question on thread topic, why wouldn't we be going after Giles or a back up ruck?
We are screwed if Eeeevan goes down with injury - its made a huge difference to the quantity and quality of our clearence work.

The prospect of Giles up forward for the pies is quite a dangerous proposition, being able to replace dawes he take take big marks and kick goals. More importantly Jolly could get a good rest up forward as Giles is no slouch in the ruck.

We should try and get him, imagine the relief for Ivan and still having vickery as an option too? Dangerous fws line ruck combo

WAT: Firstly this complaint of yours should have been sent via PM out of respect to others on the forum. But in this case I'll answer

The word twit has multiple meanings one of which is "a foolish or despicable person" which I think the majority would think is how the word was used in this instance also I think the  at the end of the post mean it was done in jest perhaps like some of your responses that appear with  or  at the end.

So I believe to suggest it was being used as a way to avoid the "C" word is drawing a long bow to be honest.

As for your argument regarding double standards on the forum .... at what point do they kick in? When you use this icon  to describe other posters who don't agree with you? Or when you border on abusing them in your posts? ... Perhaps it' better if I let that argument go through to the keeper. PM me if you want to discuss that further

And BTW I have said this before if you and others want all the "crap" removed or edited then you better be careful of what you wish for because I doubt very much people would like it too much.

Firstly, I can't believe what I am seeing. You need to grow up WAT and move on. I certainly did after a big chunk of my posts also got removed along with your references to me as having an incestuous relationship with TFT. When I used the acronym twit, it was prefaced as an acronym attached with a loose interpretation of what WP described. Never was the "C" word ever associated with my reply and for you to think so is scurrilous. Good Sir, you are nothing but a Cad and a Bounder.

If it pleases the court, I wish to propose the penalty of either a keelhauling or 50 lashes with a cat o' 9 tails for WAT's skulduggery and obvious grandstanding.
