So, Melbourne have pick 4, which IF we had SHOULD be enough to get Tyson, we have pick 9, which WOULD be enough to get Caddy . . . any idea if we have something we could offer to Melbourne to upgrade 9 to 4 and then on trade to GWS for Tyson?

North Melbourne tall forward Lachie Hansen's dissatisfaction with the Roos' contact offer has brought his name to the fore during the Trade Period.

Damian Barrett said on Gillett AFL Trade Radio that there has been talk surrounding Hansen since the end of the season. "He's out of contract," Barrett said. "There is an offer in front of him from North Melbourne, but it's not substantial and it's one that he's wavering on. "As these meetings go on between clubs today, his name will be bounced around. "I won't say he's being shopped around, but clubs are certainly aware that if they want Lachie Hansen he's there to get."

Essendon list manager Adrian Dodoro confirmed a bunch of clubs had flagged their interest in the contracted Scott Gumbleton but "he's a required player".

Dodoro also indicated West Coast youngster Koby Stevens was one of many players the Bombers were having a serious look at.
