Tigers Miller, Moore to announce retirement
STEVE BUTLER
The West Australian
August 16, 2012

Richmond's Brad Miller and Kelvin Moore are expected to announce their retirement today after informing the playing group this morning.

Speaking to the media this morning, Tigers coach Damien Hardwick wouldn't confirm the news but said "some announcements" would follow shortly.

Moore, 28, has only managed 87 games since 2002 in a career dogged by injury, culminating in a hip reconstruction which sidelined him for almost a season and a half before his round 16 return this season.

Miller joined the Tigers last year after being de-listed by Melbourne, where he played 133 games since 2002.

The 29-year-old has been in and out of the side this year.

Tiger pair bow out

Richmond defender Kelvin Moore and forward Brad Miller have announced their retirements from AFL football, effective immediately.

The pair informed the playing group, at the Club this morning, of their decision to hang up their boots.

Moore came back from the brink to play footy at the top level when many said he couldn't. Miller came in and filled a role. Thanks to both of the boys and best of luck in the future  :clapping

Really feel for Moore, could of been the difference this year had he been fit, another waste of a career riddled by a cruel injury!

I was actually thinking this morning I'd hope they'd announce retirement soon, however be brought back in the last rd at the G to give em a proper send off.

Thankyou for your contributions gents, but I'm dissapointed they could at least come and play the last game for a send off

he's just disappointed that miller prevented griffiths from playing injured or elton playing too early and having his confidence shattered

So are my ways higher than your ways,
