Richmond vs Essendon - Round 22
« on: August 20, 2012, 03:01:11 PM »
MCG site expecting just 50k to turn up.

80% will probably be Tiger supporters given the wheels on the Bomber bandwagon have fallen off because the 'weapon' wound up the springs too much and they snapped halfway along the journey leaving the Dons in the middle of nowhere :yep.

Cue in the rack.

Surely you need to try and defeat Essendon on every occasion Magic!

I still have mixed feelings on this. Brisbane have 2 very winnable games in Port and the Bulldogs. If we lose to Essendon then there is that temptation to field a very inexperienced side against Port, lose the game (or should I say, the scoreboard isn't the main concern in this game) and move up a spot in the draft. It would be nice but is it an honourable way to move up the draft? Besides, even debuting one new player in that Port game will be looked at very closely in the current political climate of the game. Tanking is almost impossible. The script says we beat Port!

Yeah we'll beat Port. Not so convinced we'll get over the Bombers though.
Something Dimma said recently makes me think at this stage we'll have one eye on the draft.
If you can't beat them, join them.
