I hope we're offering him a bit more than a development coaches role, this guy would be a great senior assistant and probably knows more about the game than our whole coaching team combined.

Agreed is also a little left of centre so he can be creative and manic in the way he gets things done.

Get it done Tiges. :thumbsup

l
spot on TM, he can only help IMO.

with a bit of luck he will become our new forward coach.

Great news. So he failed in a GF with Port. wow WGAF. Rocket failed to get Buldogs into a GF does that mean his experience is not needed.

Chuck get off the terps pal

Currently a member of the Roupies, and employed by the great man Roup.

Yep, Ive got a lot of time for Chocco. Reckon he would be a handy acquisition. Not the end of the world if we dont secure him though.

Not sure how I feel about this one, personally I dont like the dude but I have never met him so I should try and put that feeling aside.

I just have this feeling that he has been a head cocach and wants that role again. This drive to become a head coach again could create unwanted distractions to Hardwick and the rest of the coaching team. We dont need anything that "Could" (and I know its just a could) take our eyes of the prize.

Uuuummmm, why Choco ?

Realistically what can Willaims bring to the table that someone such as a Richardson couldn't in a development role ?

A destablising influence & divisive figure perhaps ?

Too many ex-Port peolple already at RFC - Hardwick, Lade, Hartley & perhaps Chaplan.

RFC certainly needed a culture change - but to Port - no thanks !

Would prefer a blend of Hawks & Geelongs game plan & culture from the last 5 years.

Simms has won a flag at Port under Chocco and he has come from being an ass. Coach under the Hawk system. Furthermore we have Lade who is a premiership teammate of Dimma, Leppa who played in 3 flags in the same era and Smith who has worked considerably prior to this year in the Hawthorn system. Whether you can stand Chocco or not the fact is he is a premiership coach and the ppl employed at the club are from successful clubs who while they were there gained the ultimate success. I think this will help to make us more professional off field tactically and the footy acumen going around in the box would be the best the club would have seen in the coaches box since our last flag possibly since Tommy Hafey was in the box. So Port are a basket case now they were not when the aforementioned were there.

Would be an excellent acquisition to say the least.
