Remember though, we have to match their offer and we may not be able to do that...

:huh :huh why do we have to match here offer? Cotchin isn't a free agent next season so GWS could offer him $5 bucks and if Cotchin wanted to accept it there is nothing we could do!

But at the end of the day he won't be going anywhere any one can see he's a Tiger through and through!

Sorry I thought it said he was a free agent at the end of next year, well that makes a difference, he won't leave. :thumbsup

Pretty sure Cotch can reject their offer and we then dont have to match it.  Cotchin will never leave Richmond.  Neither will Martin, Reiwoldt or Deledio....

Not so sure about Martin, he is a bit of a loose canon, he could have a bad hair day one day like Ottens. Finals consistently will be a must to keep him IMO and probably Jack for that matter.

Jack likes the big stage, craves it....

Can't put a price on captaining a finals side.

We've been managing our payments to retain our players anyway  :thumbsup

adding to that our Cotch gave a car away to charity that he won from one of his awards.

lol go for it GWS, somehow I dont think Cotch will be leaving us  :shh

Beside in 2012 we are only paying around 93%-95% of the cap, we can easily accomodate our next Captain. Give the club so credit they've been planning for this for  :thumbsup

Exactly WP, (al and smokey will like this):

In this CC has excelled and his forward planning on front ending contracts to free up space from a few years back was great foresight  :clapping

Totally disagree.

Loyalty is incredibly important to Martin it is something that was instilled in him by his old man. He won't leave

Jack is a Tiger loves the club with a passion. He won't be going anywhere.

Just my take  ;D
