True WP. Rioli had a poor game as did Roughead. Hodge wasn't fit. Clarkson was predictable with his coaching. It didn't look like he made too many moves out of the ordinary. The Swannies would've been happy to see Burgoyne in defence. Too much left to Sewell and Mitchell in the midfield.


They needed to get Birchall into the game more.

Hawthorn only have a few true ball winners but destroy teams once they get it out. Sydney on the other hand almost every player can win their own footy. I noticed Hawthorn tried isolating Shaw and Malceski deep a couple times but they held their own. And the rebound Sydney pressured the Hawks' play makers like Birchell and go and besides a good 60m run and carry, did sweet stuff all.

Loved every minute of the game

Was such a great moment watching the brothers hug at the end, was so happy for mcveigh

Hodgey Clarko nailed it

Sydney great admired and respected club

Clarko "at the end of the day losing a game is not a tragedy"
