It's that simple Spud
"I discussed (it) with my three daughters, my wife and my 82-year-old mum, because it has really affected me … If those comments … were made about one of my daughters, it would make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. I would not have liked it at all.”

Would come to close to being OER's most lop-sided poll ever

YES
Pretty close WP, and in reality, you would be swapping for 11 & 12 as Daniher is a given at 10?

Why would this even be a possibility?  Surely gws would never entertain this?

They would if they didnt want the extra pick due to list numbers & they thought they might get their "man" @ 9

I know. seems pretty ridiculous. Has been bandied around though. This is from the other thread:

'From the Herald-Sun's Live Chat today:

Comment From Macca
Question is this. Will Richmond trade pick 9 to GWS for 12 & 13?

Gilbert Gardiner:
nice work Macca... finger on the pulse!! whispers floating about that Tigers warming to that idea... in reality, not much diff between 9 and 12-13 so to have two top-liners for the price of one...

Comment From rombosghost
Is Macca on the money? I like the look of that deal. Was it GWS' idea?

GIlbert Gardiner:
originally floated as part of a proposed Dom Tyson trade but word is Tigers warming to the idea.'

Would do. GWS would only do if they only have 4 list spots. Thus upgrading their 4th and 5th pick for a better 4th one.

On more thinking:

If we were hoping someone like Stringer to slip to 9, it would be wishful for them to slip more to 12. But on the other hand we could take a genuine soldier as well as a high risk/high reward like Garlett.

Taking out O'Meara, Crouch, Daniher and Viney turns to top ~10 into a pretty shallow dish. Maybe 9 vs 12 isn't really a big deal after all. This being probably our most important draft going forward as these players should be in our flag tilting squad in the future, a well picked 12, 13, 29, and 31 would set us right up and provide considerable depth going forward.

Wouldn't mind trying to package 29/31 for a slightly higher pick around 20ish. Then take an x-factor type at pick 50 (or 40 if we can trade 50 & Graham for it)

I'd say yes, as long as they pick best available with these picks and not go for diamond in the rough speculators and completely waste them like we have done in the past.
